Café Pan-Afrika Season Premiere
april 26 @ 18:00 - 20:00
Lecturer: Ley Ikpo, Phd.
Time: Wednesday 26 April
Place: Bohusgatan 25, Stockholm
Café Pan-Afrika are happy to welcome you to our season premiere where a long time friend and brother in the struggle will share his knowledge. We trust this occasion will bring many familiar faces as well as newcomers to the Café Pan-Afrika family.
Mr Ley Ikpo will be arguing that contrary to popular perception Sweden is not a land of milk and honey for most migrants. In fact, it looks like migrants to Sweden do poorly in terms of professional success when compared with migrants to countries such as Great Britain, France and some others. Actually, very few get to experience the milk and honey of Sweden, rather they are pushed to the margins of the labor market to low paying jobs if they manage to find work at all. By way of scientific reasoning Mr. Ley Ikpo will debunk the Swedish immigration myth and deal with several popular ways of explaining this failure before giving us his definitive answer.
The lecture will be held in English but questions can also be asked and answered in Swedish.
Do not miss this opportunity to come and exchange with your fellow panafricanists.
